Just before Rayyan Noorani became a teenager he witnessed a
family member who he was extremely attached to battle a severe
liver ailment. 
Unfortunately Rayyan lost him in 2019. The fact that a liver transplant
was not an option due to age of the family member left a huge impact
on Rayyan
 
He started researching liver ailments and soon found out that young
children with liver disease have an over 80% chance of survival post
a liver transplant. Moreover they easily get a parent or sibling as a
donor. The biggest challenge is the availability of funds  
Rayyan then approached TATA Memorial Hospital (TMH*) on how
children that come from weaker sections of society and need liver
transplants could be helped. While TMH treats children with liver
ailments the actual transplant is done outside the hospital and they
regularly send cases to Nanavati MAX Super Specialty Hospital.

With this background on 24th May 2023, Rayyan launched CLC with
the aim of raising funds for cases referred by The Impacct Foundation
at TMH* . While the initial surgeries were conducted at NANAVATI
MAX Hospital, in 2025 this entire activity was moved to Gleneagles
Hospital Mumbai.
